Nuno Martins is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Arnaldo Alves of Portuguese nationality.
He has worked extensively with coaches from around the world, including André Galvão, Marco Barbosa, Marcelo Garcia, and Ricardo Vieira.
Martins is recognized as one of the top European grapplers of his generation and has won numerous titles in the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) circuit.
From Airline Pilot to Black Belt: Martins Journey
After earning his black belt in 2015, Nuno quit his airline job to focus solely on his grappling career. He trained in São Paulo with Marco Barbosa (B9), becoming known as one of the toughest lightweights on the Masters division international circuit. Nuno moved to the Northern Hemisphere in 2019 to compete in the most competitive tournament circuits. His dedication and passion for jiu-jitsu have made him a highly respected figure in the community.
